I wish I had known about the possibility of alleviating or stopping my period pain entirely years ago when I first got my period. I mistakenly thought that whenever that “time of the month” came around, I would have to steel myself for a day of pain.

Certainly everyone’s period pains are different. Menstrual cramps, headaches, nausea, and vomiting are a few of the many different types of period pains one may experience which can vary in duration.

In my case, my period pain involves something akin to nausea for about a day. This nausea-like feeling starts before I even get my period and serves as a signal to me that today is the day. When my period pain was at its worst, I felt like lying down and not doing anything all day.

It never occurred to me that my period pain could be decreased or stopped altogether.

Luckily, I accidentally discovered how much exercise and which types of exercises worked for me to stop my period pain. What works for me is no guarantee that it’ll work for you, but I hope that in sharing my own experiences it’ll help you or someone you know.

The Exercises that Helped Me Stop My Period Pain:

1) Sit-Ups
